Air Conditioning “Check & Charge” Service - $79.95
This service starts with a visual inspection of the AC components for leaks or damages. System pressures and condenser fan operation are verified. Specialized equipment is used to evacuate the system and refrigerant is added to recharge the system to the manufacturer’s specifications. While recharging an UV dye is injected into the refrigerant to aid in identifying refrigerant leaks. After the recharge, a final evaluation of system performance is completed.
Brake System Inspection (complimentary)
This service starts with a brief test drive (if it can be done safely), then we put your vehicle on a lift and remove the tires so we can inspect the condition of the pads, rotors and shoes and take measurements. We also check the condition of the brake fluid and hoses.
Charging System Diagnostic Testing - $49.95
We use specialized test equipment to test the battery, alternator for voltage issues. We verify the computer is sending the correct commands to the alternator and test the voltage regulator system. We visually inspect battery cables, posts, and terminal ends.
Computer ODBII Code Scan (complimentary)
When the check engine light turns on, a fault code is registered in your vehicle's system computer. This fault code gives information about the failure. We will connect a code scanner to your vehicle (1996 and newer) and read the codes. We provide you with both the code and the description for that code
Coolant System Diagnostic Testing - $79.95
This service includes verifying operation of the thermostat, water pump, and the cooling fans. We also test the coolant and perform both a pressure test and a carbon test.
Drivability Diagnostics (Gasoline Engines) $99.95
This service includes a test drive, in-depth computer scan, researching codes and testing the various circuits and components identified earlier. Depending on the findings, additional diagnostic testing may be required.
Drivability Diagnostics (Diesel Engines) $199.95
This service includes a test drive, computer scan, researching codes, injector and oil system tests, the circuits and components identified earlier. Depending on the findings, additional diagnostic time may be required.
Electrical System Diagnostic Testing - $99.95
This service includes researching and testing for electrical system problems such as lighting malfunctions, wiring problems, power outlet sockets, battery going dead overnight, etc. Depending on the findings, additional diagnostic time may be required.
Emissions System Diagnostic Testing - (varies)
CMC Auto Care is a recognized Air Check Texas Emissions Repair Facility. The diagnostic testing required for emissions problems will depend on which system is malfunctioning.
Evaporative System Diagnostic Testing - $99.95
This service includes verifying operation of vent valves and purge solenoids and a smoke test of the evaporative system to identify leak location(s). When equipped the gas cap is also tested.
Front End Inspection - complimentary
This service includes a brief test drive, lifting the vehicle and checking tire wear, steering and suspension system components, shocks, struts, tie rod end and steering gear, and other front end components for excessive play.
Starting System Diagnostic Testing - $79.95
This service includes verifying operation of the starter, correct power feeds and signals, operation of solenoid and ignition switch and determine the cause of any failures identified. (Note: If the vehicle cranks but will not start Drivability Diagnostic testing is needed instead of a starting system Diagnostic)
Visual Inspection - complimentary
This service includes a brief visual inspection of the engine compartment, control panel indicators,lights and tires. We also check fluids (condition and level) where available.
